God gave us memory so that we might
have roses in December.

Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.

A big thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate by 25th birthday yesterday! It was such a wonderful day, simple though it was!  I am so humbled by the sweet comments on my posts and on twitter that I received from all of you. You are all too sweet. If I could, I would send all of you a bouquet of brightly colored daisies, the friendliest flower. Tomorrow, I will be going to the home and garden store to get my birthday present from J, some window boxes, flowers and herb seeds! I’m hoping to talk him into a vinyl table cloth and maybe some plastic dishes for outside, but we’ll see. The weather hasn’t really been lending itself to eating outside just yet!

Do you have any big plans for the weekend? Do tell! I hope its warm and sunny where you are!

I don’t think you need any introduction, May. You are by far my absolute favorite month. After a long winter and a rainy April, you are always most welcome! {Ahem, but this year you are starting off rather chilly and rainy… how about we change that?} I love all of the flowers that bloom in May, the full return of green on the trees, the warm air… I wish I could truly express my love for May, but I just can’t. My favorite childhood memories are from May {or I have at least reclassified them as May}.

May please stay forever. We can have parties and grow flowers and celebrate all year round…

Now that warmer weather is upon us, I am itching to do some gardening.  This is a bit problematic considering I do not have a garden, let alone a yard.  I have big plans of having window boxes on our little fire escape porch.  However, if I did have a yard and I did have a garden, I would want this little garden tote from South Rose Window. Heck, maybe it would even look nice on my porch.
