I’m kind of already failing at the whole baby book thing. At first I thought that I didn’t really want one because I knew I would forget about it and then always have it hanging over my head… then M was born. I now want a baby book. Over a month in, I’m a little late to the game. Anywho, I’ve been searching for something good. I hate cheesy books and I would never scrapbook {way too much commitment!}. Cue: Ruby Love.
I absolutely love these baby books. I kind of want to buy 10 so I can have one for all of my future kids {and yes, probably have some to give away too}.

Not only are the cover options fun, the pages inside are simple and cute.

Well, I’m off to try to convince the hubs that $60 for a baby book is totally legit. If you or someone you know is having a baby anytime soon, I would definitely check out all of Ruby Love‘s options!

I’ve known for quite a while what the general plan for the nursery would be. It would have gray walls, yellow accents and elephants. Elephants were clutch. {I then realized how ridiculously trendy this was, but heck, who cares.} I picked out a fabric, had the walls painted and now comes the hard part. What else do I put in it? While I haven’t decided on a crib or really any furniture, I did find these adorable prints from Trafalgar Square to go on the walls.
All three prints are on my universal registry, but since Trafalgar Square is having a 50% off sale, I may have to just snatch them up myself I totally just bought them for myself.

After a bit of a ceramics kick, I decided to share with you something totally different. Letterpress is something I think we can all agree is simply amazing. Whenever I have my hands on a set of letterpress notecards, I always make sure that they go to the most special people in my life. They’re the kind of cards that you hold on to {though, I hold onto them all actually!} The ones from Ruby Victoria are no different.
You all know how much I love handmade products. I also love all natural products. I get really bummed out seeing products as simple as soap made with all sorts of chemicals. I dream of a life on a farm where I grow my own food, make my own soaps, clothes and linens.
Until then, I will have to buy my soaps from wonderful sellers like Love Nature NYC. His collection of soaps, candles, and salves are all natural and made in his own little New York studio. I’m already drawn to the Sweet Mandarin and Sandalwood candles as well as Rosemary Peppermint soaps. I also love the idea of a coffee sugar scrub…
Do you use natural bath products? I have to admit, I usually don’t due to money constraints, but every so often I get the chance. One day I will treat myself far more often.
I'm just a girl blogging about all things that make me smile. I'm a wife, a new mother, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a friend. I'm an atypical accountant and a new-found domestic. I spend my days trying to balance work, raising a baby, time with the husband and at home, and time for myself. I love reading books, baking, decorating and sewing.
